Please find the latest news from Edward Lee below:
|WELCOME TO THE NEW LOOK ELM VILLAGE ARTS WEBSITE !|
|The site has been completely re-designed so that you can find what interests you as easily as possible. It’s taken a long time, but as you will see, there’s a lot of material – and all the artists find that they have to put actually creating first. |
The site now presents all the music of Edward Lee from his earliest jazz themes written in the 50s, to his most recent recordings and compositions.
There’s also a new album of music in notation and tabs - Cantelowes Manor takes an ancient instrument – the lute - but gives it modern sounds to play.
The Sounds Like area presents all their previous work with words and music, and includes five albums of their work. There’s plenty of humour, as well as deeply serious moments.
At the same time we have turned the Picture Archive into a Paintings Gallery, featuring the work of our resident artist, Moira Jarvis. There will always be three or four paintings, which will be changed regularly, to reflect Moira’s current output.
|UPDATE NEWS CONTINUED|
|The Blog will carry a series of articles over the next few weeks to get you thinking – the topic will be “What is Music ?”
The next planned projects are a new instrumental album and a new Sound Painting, as well as new Moira Jarvis paintings, all of which should be available by midsummer.
There’s so much to explore that we think you will want to come back. If you leave an email address, we will let you know when new material appears.
